For last year's Superbowl our official CrowdPicks "smart" pick was scary accurate by predicting a Steelers win over the Cardinals of 27-24. Not only were we right on the Cardinals covering the 6.5 but our score prediction was only off by 1 point with a final score of 27-23.
This year we'll take the same "smart" pick approach for our official CrowdPicks prediction using members from about the top 5% against the spread and who picked at least 60 games during the season. To get some flavor for varying data slices, when we look at the top 5%, 10% and 15%, we see clearly the spread widen as the crowd gets smarter.
Top 5% - CP Spread = Saints (3.6)
Top 10% - CP Spread = Saints (2.7)
Top 15% - CP Spread = Saints (1.3)
Now the Official CrowdPicks Superbowl pick...
