Donte Stallworth has reached a plea agreement in his DUI manslaughter case where he hit and killed a pedestrian with his car while drunk, a .126 on the Breathalyzer drunk. His plea includes sentencing of 30 days in jail, which he started serving today, 2 years house arrest and 10 years probation. Not a lot of time considering he was faced with a 15 years prison sentence. He also reached an undisclosed financial settlement with the victim's family. Is this a fair plea bargain? At a glance it doesn't seem so, but the 10 year probation sentence is no walk in the park, especially for a guy that seems to have a hard time making good choices. He could end up back in jail on a probation violation pretty easily. 10 years to stay clean? This guy has already been in the NFL substance abuse program, and old habits are hard to break. Still 30 days in jail for killing someone for a crime that carries a minimum sentence of 5 years if convicted. I wonder what Michael Vick is thinking about it?
