So now GM is finally filing for bankruptcy and the future is uncertain. It's still too early to know if they will ever recover and how much more of our $ we'll need to hand over to them. It is clear that there's risk in the future that they will not participate in NASCAR, either because they cut it out of their budget, or they just don't survive the restructuring and ultimately fail.
How long before GM drops out of NASCAR?
a) 1 Year or less
b) 1-2 Years
c) 2-3 Years
d) 3-5 Years
e) Never
I'll say (b) and I futher predict in less than 3 years they will no longer exist. Ford will be the only remaining domestic auto maker and they will thrive and compete effectively with Honda & Toyota.
