In April we significantly changed the way we were doing the revenue share program. After the first month we had several successes and a few bumps in the road, but we are more convinced than ever that this is the right direction for CrowdPicks. Specifically rewarding members for picks that we use in our smart pick reports. Although these reports are not available to anyone yet, they will be very soon, as their accuracy is just too valuable to keep under wraps.
As we mentioned the revenue share program also had a few bumps in the road, mainly around the amount of credit we give for certain things on the site. We will continue to tweak and adjust the credit weights to make sure we get it right. The other snag we have is that the recruiting tracking isn't available, so no one can see what their recruits are doing for them or even who their recruits are. We are working on this and hope to have it available very soon.
Just to remind everyone how the new recruit program works, we have significantly lowered the value for bringing in a new recruit, but we are now rewarding you based on how well they do in the revenue share program every month, and this will go on for the life of yours and their account. For example, if you recruit the number 1 revenue share person for May, you will get a percentage of their revenue share credits (we won't take it away from them, just add a bonus to you). Some of you will notice that you had credits in April for recruits and you didn't recruit anyone recently, that's because your old recruits are doing things to earn them and you credits.
We felt that this was the best way to reward the members that recruit a lot, which is to give them a share in the success of the people they bring in since not all members are big contributors. This should also curtail any fake accounts being created, since it offers no advantages anymore.
