We had a chat session this week to discuss the revenue share changes and to answer any questions. In the future we plan to do more chats like this to answer questions. Hopefully we will have an announcement on our next one early next week.
Jeff says: so does anyone have any questions about the new revenue share program, or anything for that matter?
Shark20 says: what are the changes?
Jeff says: we have changed to 3 main categories to recruits, picks and featured content
Jeff says: we no longer look at views as a measuring unit
Jeff says: we did this to reward the people that are making good picks
Jeff says: we now give credit for making the weekly top 10, and getting your picks selected for our "Smart pick" report, which is something we will release publicly over the summer
Shark20 says: what is the most "weighted" catagory? The one that will build $$$ the quickest.
Jeff says: picks gets you the most credit the fastest
Shark20 says: cool. That's mainly all I do. I don't put a lot of "content/stories" on here.
Jeff says: but we realize that not everyone can be a master picker, so we included featured content and recruits, they aren't weighted as heavily, but anyone can invite a friend or write a blog
Jeff says: another change is that we now take into account the quality of a recruit, meaning if you invite someone that is a master picker, you will continue to get credit for their picking ability

Jeff says: we will soon have some tracking tools up to follow your recruits and see how they are doing and view what that means to you
Jeff says: and your recruit will pay off for you for the lifetime of your account

Cas002 says: So ideally you want to recruit people to the site that are good pickers and track sports daily - the better they do, the more $ you will get
ourlad says: how does the pick section work? i understand the weekly top ten but how do you get credits for picks?
Cas002 says: That component will only be available later in the summer when we officially launch the Smart Picks reports
Cas002 says: Then if your pick is selected you earn a credit towards the Rev Share $

Jeff says: When we set out to build this site, we thought we could put the best pickers together and come up with a really accurate prediction, but we had no idea if it would work
Jeff says: we have been testing this for months, and it not only works, it is scary accurate
Jeff says: our superbowl pick nailed the spread exactly and was only 1 point off both teams
Jeff says: hopefully soon we will start realeasing baseball picks, we are still testing that sport
Jeff says: but the bottom line is that we hope to sell this data since it is so accurate, and if we sell it, we are going to share this cash with those that supply the picks
ourlad says: what are the requirements for being a smart picker?
Cas002 says: Being a "smart" picker has requirements that change daily. But in essence, you need to have a good track record over the last 25 picks with a high ATS
Cas002 says: Sometimes the min ATS might be 52% one day but then a week later it may be 58%. Early in the season in may be 65% and at the end of the season 53%...depends on many factors
Cas002 says: We're still working on all the mony-line sports but we have the "smart" algorithms ready to go for all the spread sports
Jeff says: I think we're going to bring this chat page back every now and again to jump in and chat with everyone, maybe even a Friday afternoon club if we get enough interest
